Resumo

The paleogeographic reconstruction of the Brazilian sedimentary basins during the Albian-Aptian interval has been a controversial issue for over a decade. The tectonic dynamics, as well as the stratigraphy, sedimentology and paleontology of those basins are closely related to the origin and evolution of the South Atlantic Ocean.
