MINERALlZAÇÃO DE URÂNIO LIGADA A METASSOMATISMO SÓDICO, ESPINHARAS, PARAÍBA

Resumo

In the Espinharas uranium deposít granitic rocks (granites and gneisses) had been altered by metassomatic processes including albitization and hematitization, with sodium and calcium additíon, silica leachíng and uranium enrichment. Country rocks are compared with their mineralísed alteration products through geochemical and mineralogical changes. Geologícal setting and morphology of ore bodies are described. Disseminate coffinite is present in albitízed rocks. Espinharas is placed among similar ocurrences in northeast and relate to others brazilian and russian uraniferous metassomatites.
