PRESENÇA DE UMA ZONA FOSFÁTICA PERTO DE CONTENDAS DO SINCORÁ, BAHIA

Resumo

Description of a new phosphatic zone near Contendas do Sincorá, south central of the State of Bahia is given by the first time. Regional rocks are mainly Infracambrian quartzites with aubordinate carbonatic lenses gently folded and lowly metamorphosed, unconformitively cropping out over a gneissic Lower Precambrian basement. Values of first analyses range from traces to 7.52% P₂O₅ in rocks. Petrography of wall-rocks and description of specimens are given.
